Weak signal

Keep working when the network does not.

Farms are not always where the signal is. SmartFarmer keeps what you have opened so you can read it offline. When you record something without a connection, it stays on your phone and is sent when you have signal again.

  • A clear notice tells you when you are offline and what that means.
  • A list shows which changes are only on this phone and which have been sent.
  • If a change needs you, the app says so and opens the list.

Fields

Know the field by its edge.

Where your organisation has opened a field for you, walk its boundary with your phone and keep the outline with the field. Photos of the farm and of each field sit beside it, so a later question can point to what was actually there.

  • Walk the boundary to measure a field from where you stand.
  • Add photos of the farm or a field. The app shows which are waiting to be sent.
  • Only the organisation that keeps a farm can change its fields.
